Cricket | England Tour of India

• India won the third test against England by 6 wickets (you are readin a future headline!)
• Fabulous cricket played by India today at the Narendra Modi Stadium
• England won the toss and unfortunately decided to bat first; got out at 112 (yes…no typo error… it is 112)
• England's highest scorers were opener Zak Crawley (53 runs) and Captain Joe Root (17 runs)
• Axar Patel took 6 wickets and Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets
• India also lost 3 wickets for 99 runs [Shubham Gill (11), Cheteshwar Pujara (शून्य) and Virat Kohli (27)]
• Rohit Sharma is playing at 57 and Ajinkya Rahane at 1 run
• The atmosphere at the stadium was so good…it was a delight to see the match today

Domestic Indian  Cricket | Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21

• Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21 kicked off on 20 February 2021
• 38 teams are participating which are divided into 6 groups
• It is a 50-over tournament and will be played between 20 February 2021 and 14 March 2021
• Karnataka won the trophy last year, beating Tamil Nadu in the finals
• As of now, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Kerala, Mumbai, Chandigarh, and Assam are leading their respective groups
• The highlight of the day was Kerala win over Railways in a thrilling match. Robin Uthappa again scored a century (till now he has scored two centuries and 81 runs, in 3 matches)

Cricket | South Africa T20 Challenge 2021

• Two matches were played on Wednesday, 24 Feb 2021
• In the first match - Warriors beat Titans by 43 runs
• In the second match - Dolphins beat Lions by 41 runs
• On Thursday, 25 Feb 2021, one match is scheduled - Warriors vs Knights
• As of now, Dolphins tops the points table with 4 wins in 4 matches, followed by Lions with 3 wins in 4 matches

Cricket | Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021

• IPL 20201 will be played from 11 April 2021 till 6 June 2021

Cricket | Australia Tour of New Zealand

• Australia vs New Zealand second T20 will be played on Thursday, 25 February 2021 at University Oval
• Both teams have played 10 T20 matches to date, Australia has won 7 matches and 3 matches won by New Zealand
• Fantasy XI players, don't forget to pick the all-rounders Jimmy Neesham and Glenn Maxwell in your team
• New Zealand lead the series by 1-0 after beating Australia in the first T20 by 53 runs

Cricket | Sri Lanka Tour of West Indies

• Sri Lanka will be visiting West Indies in March and April 2021 for playing  three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Test matches
• Matches will be played in a bio-bubble environment
• Matches will be played in Antigua beginning 03 March 2021
• Lahiru Kumara will be replaced by Suranga Lakmal for ODIs and T20 matches, as Kumara is down with Covid19
• Chaminda Vaas has resigned as the Bowling Coach due to pay issues, increasing the problems for the Sri Lanka team. Chaminda Vaas recently took over the positions from David Saker

Cricket | Bangladesh Tour of New Zealand

• Bangladesh will be visiting New Zealand in March 2021 for playing Three ODIs and Three T20s
• ODI series will begin on 13 March 2021

Cricket | South Africa tour of Pakistan

• Pakistan vs South Africa 3-match ODI series will be played from 02 Apr 2021 onwards   
• Earlier Pakistan won the test series by 2-0 and the T20 series by 2-1 over South Africa

Cricket | South Africa Tour of Ireland

• South Africa will be visiting Ireland in July 2021 for playing Three ODIs and Three T20s
• ODI series will begin on 11 July 2021 and the T20 series from 20 July 2021

Sports | Other sports news

• In India vs England test match today, a fan was caught breaching security and covid protocols as he rushed towards Kohli from the stand. Security caught the fan and might take action against him (इतना excitement!)
• It was a day of technical glitch, first at National Stock Exchange and then at the Narendra Modi Stadium. LED lights went off for a minute, resulting in halting the match
• Ishant Sharma, who is playing his 100th test match today, got facilitated by current President Ram Nath Kovind and future Prime Minister Amit Shah. Do you know Ishant is the second bowler after Kapil Paaji to play 100 test matches!
