  • The winning streak by Pakistan continues as they won the first T20 by 3 runs
  • South Africa won the toss (कुछ तो जीते!) and invited Pakistan to bat first
  • Pakistan scored 169 for the loss of 6 wickets (Mohammad Rizwan scored a ton (104 not-out) and was awarded as the Player of the match; Andile Phehlukwayo took 2 wickets for 33 runs for South Africa
  • South Africa fell short of 3 runs as they could only score 166 for the loss of 6 wickets, in 20 overs
  • Reeza Hendricks made 54 runs and Janneman Malan made 44 runs for South Africa; Usman Qadir and Haris Rauf got 2 wickets each for Pakistan
  • Losing such a game with wickets in hand is something to introspect
  • Earlier Pakistan won the test series by 2-0

Domestic Indian  Cricket | Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21

  • After the successful completion of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (where Tamil Nadu won over Baroda in the finals), Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21 is all set to kick-off
  • It is a 50-over tournament and will be played between 20 February 2021 and 14 March 2021
  • Karnataka is the defending champion and Tamil Nadu were the runner-ups
  • 38 teams will participate, which will be divided into 6 groups
  • League matches will be played from 20 February 2021 till 01 March 2021
  • Knockout stage from 07 March 2021 onwards - Pre-quarterfinal on 07 March; Quarterfinals on 08 March and 09 March; Semifinals on 11 March; and the final will be played on 14 March 2021

 

Cricket | Australia Tour of New Zealand

  • Australia will be visiting New Zealand in Feb 2021 for playing Five T20 matches
  • T20 series will begin on 22 February 2021

 

Cricket | Bangladesh Tour of New Zealand

  • Bangladesh will be visiting New Zealand in March 2021 for playing Three ODIs and Three T20s
